Anthony Hopkins Shined In The Rite Movie

New Line circulated their new thriller/horror flick "The Rite" into movie theaters a few weeks ago. I just watched it,and it was very good. It provided a good deal of intense exorcism scenes with acting legend Anthony Hopkins. The motion picture stars: Anthony Hopkins, Colin O'Donoghue, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds, and Rutger Hauer.

The flick focused on characters Michael Kovak and Father Lucas Trevant . Michael is a up and coming American Priest who has got complications with his own religion. He has a hard time believing that the Devil exist as well as these so-called Demonic possessions. The movie would quite often show flashbacks to Michael's child years where he first accumulated his faith problems when his father passed on.

Michael before long goes to Italy to learn exorcism with Father Lucas because his North american teacher believed he had to attain some "hands on" exposure to exorcism since he doubted it a bunch. In just a little bit after his planned arrival at Lucas' home,he gets brought to his first real-time exorcism with a girl who was currently pregnant and goes in and out of possessions.

Despite such effective evidence of possession,Michael still communicates doubt in the religion. The lady spits out nails, blood, her voice changes to a mad demonic voice, she becomes an extreme contortionist, and all other forms of unusual stuff, but Michael still swears she just has to see a psychiatrist.

Ultimately, Michael starts experiencing major issues because of weird dreams he's been getting about his dead papa. Father Lucas tries to help him out with his concerns. However, Michael gets his questioning faith put to the supreme test when the demon possesses somebody he never thought it would possess, and if Michael doesn't acquire some faith swiftly, his life and other's existance are in trouble.

Michael and his special lady are in the room throughout the possession, and things get quite tough. Finally, with his back up against the wall,Michael is pushed to deal with his belief issues and difficulties with God to defeat what is getting ready to harm him. The closing was pretty intense and had me on the edge of my seat.

I thought overall, the show was really entertaining and intriguing. Unfortunately, there was some slow, methodical moments during the movie in which I found myself dosing off a bit, however, when things sped up,they truly got going in a substantial way. It showcased a large amount of "can't miss," intense moments. The exorcism scenes were rather distressing and persuasive. I gave the motion picture a very good B grade.
